Anatomy of a Hair

p_photoepilation2Each human hair is made up of 3 parts:

⇒ The hair shaft
⇒ The follicle
⇒ The bulb – essential for hair growth

Hair Follicle Anatomy
Mistral Photo Epilation technology uses Light and Heat Energy to selectively target the hair follicle. Using Mistral Photo Epilation, heat is absorbed through the shaft where it damages the hair bulb, thereby retarding hair growth without damaging the surrounding skin.

The time needed for a complete Mistral Photo Epilation treatment will vary according to the area of the body being treated. Due to the hair’s natural growth cycle, which differs from site to site, most treatments will require an average of 6-8 sessions to achieve optimal results.
